Brett Peppe

Brett Peppe is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor based in New Jersey. As Program Manager of the HOPES Program—a Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) team—he provides crucial support to families across the state who have lost a child aged 21 or younger to suicide. His team offers immediate on-scene assistance and ongoing support through monthly survivor groups, creating a compassionate environment for families to navigate their grief.


Brett’s commitment to supporting others is deeply personal; having lost three family members to suicide, he is unwavering in his dedication to helping individuals on their journey toward healing and hope.

Dr. Jan Gorniak

Dr. Jan Gorniak is a nationally recognized Medical Examiner and Forensic Pathologist. Dr. Gorniak is a champion in her field and for suicide awareness. She was instrumental in bringing a LOSS Team to Columbus, Ohio in 2014.

Frank Campbell, PhD, LCSW, CT

Dr. Campbell is the Executive Director Emeritus of the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center, where he serves as Volunteer Co-Chair of the National Suicidology Training Center (NSTC), which he founded in 2018. He also volunteers as an Assistant Coroner in East Baton Rouge Parish. In addition to his volunteer activities, he is the Senior Consultant for Campbell and Associates Consulting, where he consults with communities on Active Postvention efforts and Forensic Suicidology cases.

During his more than thirty years of working with those bereaved by suicide, he introduced his Active Postvention Model (APM) in 1997. It is most commonly known as the LOSS Team (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors).

Jill McMahon

Jill is a licensed professional counselor focusing on grief and loss. She has specialized in working with Survivors of Suicide since 2003. Jill assisted in building the L.O.S.S. Program in Phoenix, AZ., and outlying communities. She continues to consult with L.O.S.S. teams across the nation today.

 

Jill can also be found providing suicide prevention/postvention presentations and trainings around the community, as well as speaking about Survivors of Suicide and complicated grief, nationally and internationally. She has been featured on several podcasts, co-authored a series of books, and consulted for several other publications. She also authored the book "Bulletproof - Healing after Gun Violence & Trauma."

 

Jill owns a private practice in Scottsdale, AZ. Her work focuses on helping families maneuver trauma and loss.

Dr. Neimeyer is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Psychology, University of Memphis, and maintains an active consulting and coaching practice.  He also directs the Portland Institute for Loss and Transition, which provides both onsite and online training internationally in grief therapy.
